Cabinet ministers to debate Brexit plan

Hi everyone,

We start the new month with Sterling nearly 1% down on last week, as chronic Brexit uncertainty kicks in.

Tomorrow starts the Brexit debate from different cabinet ministers that will last 5 days and is sure to get a lot of coverage. Pretty much everything from now is a lead up to next Tuesday's vote. The awful French protests have done little to effect the € as of yet, but President Macron is increasingly becoming unpopular.

Handelsbanken today released their forecast for the Pound during 2019. They predict the divorce date to be moved to the end of next year, citing more £ weakness and suggest levels of £-€1.10 & £-$1.25 by March 2019. Also, to not expect a 'no-deal' outcome, but an amended May deal to win in Parliament. An interesting forecast that most analysts right now would agree with.

Data-wise there isn't much to look out for until Friday, where the UK, EU & US release some key data. Slight Sterling weakness is expected again this week.
