Sterling rally fades

Hi everyone,

The Pound will finish the week down by around 0.5% across the board, as hung parliament risks resurface. This will be the first weekly loss for £-€ rates in a month and so it has been a very good and unexpected recent run.

The Johnson v Corbyn TV debate was a bit of a non-event in terms of the market and neither really said anything we didn't already know. The polls still place Boris ahead, but as we get closer to election date anything can happen and you can therefore expect increased market volatility that may weaken the Pound.
