UK employment sets another record

Hi everyone,

Whilst average earnings in the UK are lower than 10 years ago because of inflation, the unemployment rate is at its lowest since 1975. Earnings are slowly on the up and have returned to pre-referendum levels, but still way behind the growth path it should be on. Employment levels however continue to outperform market forecasts.

To Brexit news and we are not due to hear anything significant until the House of Commons vote on the customs union next month. For now, traders will try and decipher which direction Brexit will go and the market will remain around the current levels.

Plenty of data due out Wednesday & Thursday to keep an eye on with UK retail sales looking likely to weaken the Pound slightly if forecast.
